Delete your data

Findings is for personal organisation and education — not medical advice, diagnosis, or emergency care.

Request data deletion

Findings is operated by UNIT01 d.o.o.. You can delete specific health and account data without closing your account, or delete your entire account if you prefer.

This page explains how to remove particular categories of data in the app, how to ask us to delete data by email, what is removed, what may be kept, and retention periods. To delete your whole account instead, see our account deletion page.

Delete data in the app (without deleting your account)

Sign in to the Findings mobile app or web app. The steps below remove only the data you choose; your account stays active.

Laboratory reports and biomarkers

  • Open Upload (mobile: Labs tab → upload history, or Upload screen)
  • Find the report you want to remove
  • Delete that upload — this removes the file metadata, OCR extraction, and biomarker values tied to that panel from your history

Health profile

  • Open Health profile (mobile: You tab; web: You or Health profile)
  • Remove individual chronic conditions, surgeries, or family-history entries
  • Remove medications from your medications list
  • Edit or clear risk factors, health goals, and other profile fields you no longer want stored

AI Health Context memories

  • Open Profile → Health Context (or Conversation memories on mobile)
  • Delete individual memory items — each removal soft-deletes that fact and its search embedding

Daily trackers

  • Open Trackers
  • Delete a tracker you no longer use — this removes the tracker definition and its stored readings for that tracker

Individual AI chat threads cannot yet be deleted separately in all app versions; deleting AI Health Context memories or your full account removes related stored context. We are expanding in-app controls over time.

Request deletion by email

To request deletion of specific data you cannot remove in the app, or if you cannot sign in, email hello@unit01.dev from your registered address with the subject line "Delete my Findings data". Describe which data to delete (for example, a date range of uploads, all tracker readings, or all AI memories). We will verify your identity before fulfilling the request.

Data protection contact: Rade Joksimovic, UNIT01 d.o.o.. Email: hello@unit01.dev. We aim to respond without undue delay and within timeframes required by applicable law (for example, 45 days for certain US consumer health privacy requests).

Data removed when you delete it

Depending on what you delete, we remove the corresponding records from our primary database, including:

  • Deleted uploads — panel metadata, OCR rows, and biomarker values from that report (other panels remain)
  • Removed profile items — conditions, surgeries, family history, medications, and edited profile fields
  • Deleted memories — the memory text and its vector embedding (inactive rows may persist briefly in backups)
  • Deleted trackers — tracker configuration and readings for that tracker
  • Email requests — the specific categories you identify, once verified

Data that may be kept

  • Data you do not delete — your account, remaining uploads, profile fields, memories, trackers, and chat history stay until you remove them or delete your account
  • Encrypted database backups — deleted records may remain in rolling backups for a limited period before expiry
  • Security and API access logs — typically up to 90 days for operations and incident investigation
  • Subscription and billing metadata — retained as required for accounting, tax, and fraud prevention
  • Legal hold — data we must preserve when required by law or legal claims

Raw lab PDF/image files are removed from storage after successful OCR while your account is active. Structured biomarker values remain until you delete the upload or your account.
